Play

Eat, drink, shop, play  - the Clarendon Courthouse Corridor has it all! Clarendon is one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the Washington, DC area, with a variety of restaurants, bars, rooftop decks, retail stores, fitness facilities, and markets. It is the perfect spot to go for a run on a weekday morning, take a yoga class at lunch, shop on Saturday afternoon, have cocktails on a rooftop bar in the evening, and enjoy brunch with family and friends on Sunday. It is arguably also one of the safest and most walk-able neighborhoods in the region, with everything centered along a mile long corridor between the  VA Square metro and the Courthouse metro, with the Clarendon metro stop in the middle.

Check out our restaurant directory for all of your options within the Clarendon Courthouse area.

Clarendon may cover a small physical area but it has a world of culture within its boundaries. Check out the amazing Balkan food at Ambar, named Best Restaurant by Arlington Magazine! Spice up your taste buds with authentic Thai at Sawadtee, Vietnamese at Four Sisters Grill and Indian at longtime favorites Delhi Club and Delhi Darba. Have a romantic dinner at Baba or Buena Vida and finish the evening with cocktails and dessert on the gorgeous roof deck of Buena Vida Social Club. Enjoy taco Tuesday at TTT, Mexicali Blues, Don Tito's, and La Finca. Get your Southern on and savor everything from beignets to biscuits at Bayou Bakery and Tupelo Honey and don't forget the yummy comfort food at Liberty Tavern. Relish schnitzel and pretzels at Lyon Hall, traditional Greek at Cava, Persian cuisine at Kabob Bazaar, Spanish tapas at Pamplona, and Asian fusion at Bar Bao.  For families, some of our favorite kid friendly restaurants are Silver Diner, Cheesecake Factory, Fire Works Pizza, and Hot Stone Pizza. Coffee

How many coffee shops can we fit in one mile??? Of course, we have Starbucks and Peet's options for those on the go. However, if you want to savor your coffee experience in the morning or meet up with a friend of colleague, we have some of the coolest coffee shops in the region. Residents love Northside Social for his homey feel and insanely good breakfast sandwiches. For a more modern and international feel, we love the atmosphere at East West. Don't forget Detour which is a favorite meet up spot for local businesses with some of the friendliest staff in town.

Wine

Looking for some delicious pinots and cabs to brighten up your evening? Screwtop Wine Bar's wine and cheese plates are the perfect antidote to a long week of work and Oby Lee's crepes and champagne will transport you to Paris. Newcomer Verre Wine Bar at the Hyatt has a great selection and happy hour specials.

Move

There is a reason Arlington was ranked the fittest city in America! The Clarendon area has some of the best fitness facilities in the region with everything from spin classes to barre and boxing. We also have one of the best running shops in the country, Pacers, which hosts numerous runs in our neighborhood and across the country, ever year. We love the Clarendon Day Run, which takes place every year before Clarendon Day, in September.
